Agriculture Gauteng (AgriGauteng) is proud to announce an exciting new initiative in partnership with Huawei South Africa — a series of monthly Farmer Days designed to equip Gauteng's farmers with the knowledge and tools needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving agricultural landscape.

Each month, a select group of up to 15 farmers will be hosted at Huawei's advanced training facility in Woodmead, Johannesburg, for a full day of immersive, hands-on learning — rounded off with a true South African braai.

🌱 Session 1:

Energy Smart Solutions for FarmersIn a country where energy reliability remains one of the biggest challenges facing agriculture, this session introduces farmers to practical, affordable energy solutions. From solar-powered irrigation and backup systems to smart energy monitoring, farmers will leave with real-world knowledge they can implement on their farms immediately.

🚜 Session 2:

Advanced Farming TechnologyHuawei's cutting-edge precision agriculture technologies are changing the way the world farms. This session gives participants a first-hand look at innovations including smart sensors, data-driven crop management, drone technology, and connectivity solutions tailored for the agricultural sector — helping farmers increase yields, reduce costs, and make better decisions.

🔥 The Braai:

Community, Connection & Celebration No South African day is complete without a braai. After an inspiring day of learning, farmers come together around the fire to share stories, build relationships, and celebrate the spirit of our farming community. This is where partnerships are forged and friendships are made.

Programme Highlights

• Up to 15 farmers per session — intimate, focused, and practical
• Hosted at Huawei's state-of-the-art training facility, Woodmead, Johannesburg
• Sessions run monthly
• Open to AgriGauteng members across all farmer categories
• Includes hands-on demonstrations and take-home resources
• Concludes with a traditional South African braai
